Assessing your Applications to ensure Perfect Fit

How do you know your applications will execute and be tested reliably in the OSTF?
Answer: our Application Portfolio Assessment (APA). The APA allows our consultants to determine the suitability of each of your target applications to the factory approach and resources.
Our Shamrock methodology will categorize each application by the nature of the resources needed to test it. This ensures that our customers are involved in resource provision process, and allows you to control costs by provided special resources where needed, such as software testing tool licenses or special hardware devices.
The other key deliverable in our APA, is to assess the maturity of our customers' current test assets and current work assessments and cost. This allows us to ensure that our own test execution is more efficient that our clients', and also helps us begin to understand the nature and type of testing needed, as well as determine our initial estimate of testing hours per release. Our last deliverable is to help our customers "top up" any specific remediatory work needed on the test assets in order for them to be acceptable as a solid starting point, such as updating SRS or Requirements documentation, or any other test asset. This preparatory work, is often something that our clients have been meaning to do for a number of releases.
All of this is included to ensure that your applications are well suited, that our clients help control resource costs, and that our understanding of the work at hand is crystal clear.
