Key Benefit of On Shore Quality Assurance

- We are Local - (to eastern North America) Located in North Toronto means that it is easy to communicate and interact with your assigned testing team. It also means that if an application SME is needed, they can usually be available quickly and easily. No late night or off hours meeting required. No immigration or work visas needed.
- Access to our Vast Database of experienced testers With access to our 3,500+ testers database, many of which we have direct experience with on client projects, we can easily get the specific experience we need, when we need it. Similar to our OnDemand Testing service, we apply this capability to ourselves. We handle the ebb and flow of testing resources needed at all times.
- 100% Local Resources With 100% local resources, we can guarantee the continuity of your specific testing team. Knowing your business and terminology is paramount to being efficient and accurate in our testing. It ensures that when we create / execute a Test Case, that it adheres to your Business Requirements not just a technical function.
- APAs Ensure a strong, reliable fit for Factory Testing Ensuring that an application can be adequately tested outside of your shop can be a complex task at times. To account for the many details required around both our clients' business requirements, as well as determining all of the resources needed for any particular application (or group of applications), we have developed an approach for ensuring a reliable "fit" for each application targetting for the OSTF. We call this process, an Application Portfolio Assessment (APA). Our APAs are usually completed in 1-2 weeks and allow us to: - Review the maturity and status of the Test Assets for all applications; - Meet with application stakeholders to assess the desired Duration, ownership, SME access, and plans for the applications; - Get a baseline measurement of exiting effort, FTEs, Duration, and Cost. This will be the baseline for us to beat! - Validate all cost information with our clients' finance department to ensure an accurate baseline; - Perform any remedial work needed on Test Assets, or fit to business requirements; - Prepare our detailed estimate for work, duration, automation plans, and pricing of all resources;
- 100% Business Requirements Focus Oftentimes it is tempting to try to test Faster rather than Better. To prevent this, we review the Application owners' business requirements and compare to existing SRS or Testing Requrements documents. This ensures Alignment of IT to the business, and makes certain that we are 100% focused on helping your business use applications focused on your strategic business goals.. - not just executing Test Cases quickly. We use industry leading Requirements Tools and elicitation techniques to ensure that we are always "on track" and that we are tracking to your business goals, and that our extracted defects are those that are supporting the business goals for the application, not just defects for the sake of reporting.
- Quality Focus on each Subsequent Release Given that our APA process sets a benchmark of efficiency for our team to be at least as efficient as our clients' in our first release, we need to instill quality in every following release. We will use innovative Best Practices, increasing successive Automation, and eventually Business Risk-Based testing techniques to make each release of each application more efficient than the previous, and share this information with each client. We also compensate our staff on Defects per execution statistics so that we are providing better quality, more efficiently. We also share this data with our clients so that over each subsequent release you can see that the defects extracted are increasing while the effort and cost are decreasing.
- Innovation in Testing Methods As mentioned elsewhere, leveraging increasing amounts of Test Automation will save our clients time and increase quality, but the real savings and increases in efficiency will come from our deployment of QualityPoint®, our Business Risk-Based Testing Methodology. By measuring every preparation of every test asset in each release we will have valuable empirical data to monitor both our efficiency, but also to rank all Test Cases by Business Risk as well as the inherent risk in each test. The combination of these results in a Business Risk Quotient that helps us rank the Test cases for execution. Lower ranked TCs will not likely generate defects, whereas higher ranked TCs will most certainly generate defects. By first leveraging Automation and blending in our QualityPoint® methods, we will be able to test Less, but generate More defects. Lower effort equals lower cost. More extracted defects equals higher quality.
- Software Testing is our ONLY Business Software testing is all that our 250+ billing consultants do every day. It is our lifeblood. It is our joie de vivre. We believe that if you do one thing constantly, you will encounter every possible variation and combination. For QAC, that is testing. As such, we bring all of our expertise around the entire System Development Life Cycle of testing to bear in the OSTF. Testing is what we do.
